[[html]]It's a big TV hit across the pond in Australia, Hungary and the United Kingdom and now "MasterChef" has made its way to America. Headed by renowned Chef Gordon Ramsay, "MasterChef" is looking for that one outstanding amateur home chef that has what it takes to become a "MasterChef." The winner will win $250,000, publish a cookbook, and have the distinction of being crowned the first American "MasterChef." Gordon will be joined on the judges' panel by Graham Elliot and Joe Bastianich. At 27, Graham is the youngest chef to earn 4 Michelin Stars, and Joe owns 20 of America's best restaurants and 3 Italian wineries. Gordon, known in America for his TV shows "Hell's Kitchen," "Kitchen Nightmares," and the "F-Word," owns 28 restaurants worldwide.<br><br>Chinatown is home to some of the best Chinese restaurants in the country. It is an interesting place to walk around and some of the restaurants have an interesting take on service too. If you choose one of the very busy cheaper places the service borders on rude as they try to usher you in and out with a no nonsense and no frills service. It is quite an interesting experience and perfect for a quick meal. There are nicer places too for those wanting to take time over a Chinese banquet. Look out for hanging Cantonese <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Dc4yujXyz8">slow cooked aromatic duck</a> in windows which is delicious.<br><br>This recipe is wonderful because you can leave it to cook itself. Conventional stove-top risotto needs to be watched and stirred nearly constantly but slow cooking eliminates the need for that, while the end result is pretty much identical. This delicious risotto recipe serves six people and you can serve it by itself or as a side dish with your favorite chicken recipe.<br><br>The final dish before dessert was another one of the highlights of the night. The plate came with a generous portion of how to cook duck that was glazed with a brown sauce. Alongside, there was a crimini mushroom spoon bread that will please the mushroom lovers at the table. The dish was completed with a smoked duck spanakopita, which was similar to corn bread or a dense stuffing. The spanakopita was another creative way that Chefs Lindsay and Peters invoked the flavors of the fall season in a creative way.<br><br>Chili - In my area of the country, New Year's Day is usually met with cold weather. A good, hot bowl of chili makes a great addition to any party, and the good thing is that you can make the chili a week in advance. On New Year's Day, put your chili into a slow cooker duck and let your guests serve themselves. Make sure you have condiments ready, like chopped onion, shredded cheese, and sliced hot peppers. Serve with fresh rolls or oyster crackers.<br><br>Our meal ended up costing about $235. Craft <a href="https://www.ehow.com/how_12302820_boil-whole-chicken-giblets.html">cooking a whole duck on the bbq</a> gave Bill a complimentary dessert. Had they not done that, the check would have been closer to $250. It was definitely not the cheapest meal we've ever had, but we still felt it was worth every penny. The food was exquisite and the service was very professional but not at all snobby or stuffy. They even presented us with little packets of homemade granola as a morning snack.<br><br>Ya Wang Restaurant is also located in the Bund and is one of the restaurants in Shanghai which serve delicious roastduck, crispy from outside and tender from inside.
